The Diman Bengal Education Foundation (DBEF) recently donated $5000 to Diman Regional to support the Mathematics Department with their purchase of iPads. In addition to the Foundation contribution, Bay Coast Bank contributed $800 toward this purchase.

The iPads will be for each member of the Diman Math department and will connect with their SmartBoard system to display instructional math concepts to students who will have the ability to interactively react to the concepts from their desk. The added usefulness of total classroom mobility will enhance the instructors ability to display, discuss, and involve students from any part of the classroom. It will also allow students to interact with the instructor and fellow classmates on mathematical concepts from either the student’s desk or anywhere else in the classroom.

The DBEF was established in 2013 by a group of individuals who appreciate the benefits that Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School provides to their students. Its mission is to secure private funding for enhancement of facilities/grounds and innovative program services for the Greater Fall River Vocational School District which operates Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.

To date, the Foundation has donated over $300,000 to support various projects at the school.
